Geoffrey Thompson attended the University of The Arts in Philadelphia, PA from 2000 to 2004, majoring in the crafts department with a focus on Ceramics. After college, Thompson pursued a career in fine woodworking and specialized contracting, including historical restoration, conservation, and public art installation. In 2015, Thompson relocated to Louisiana and fell in love with the land and its rich cultural history. Since moving to Acadiana, Thompson has had the opportunity to repair and restore over a dozen structures in the area, including the Center for Louisiana Studies Roy House, historic homes at Vermilionville Living History Museum, and the Carencro Visitors Center. With Louisiana being his new home, Thompson applies his experience and technical knowledge to preserve and promote the region.
